Rattling noise when car starts

You have to inspect the exhaust system to find out if heat shields are causing rattling noise in car when accelerating. Never attempt to inspect or repair the exhaust system when the engine is running or has been recently running. These shields prevent heat transfer into the cabin of the vehicle, the fuel lines and even the gas tank. Car rattling noises can drive you crazy, but once you identify the problem, you can often resolve it yourself.

Usually made from aluminum, they provide a thermo-reflective barrier between your cars exhaust system and other parts of the vehicle. It doesn't happen all the time, but only when coming to a complete stop and taking off again. However, do it only when the engine is off for several hours. My car sounds like those old Volkswagen Beetles.
It sounds like it's coming from directly under the intercooler. Another reason for rattling a sound while accelerating, alternator also called an electric motor as well, so dont confuse it by the name of alternator. If you have a general location the sound is coming from, diagnosis may be a little easier. In case you are smitten by this style, just match your top with a pair of high-waist denim. The exhaust pipe and some other parts remain hot even after hours of switching the engine off.
